There is a large difference between hot cocoa and drinking chocolate. The terms are often used interchangeably, but they are extremely different. Hot cocoa is made from cocoa powder, which is chocolate pressed free of all its richness, meaning the fat of cocoa butter. Drinking chocolate is made from real chocolate (the cocoa solids) melted into a creamy chocolate drink. It is a rich decadent drink.

The original hot cocoa recipe was a mixture of ground cocoa beans, water, wine, and peppers. It didn't take long for Spaniards to begin heating the mixture and sweetening it with sugar. After being introduced in England, milk was added to the after dinner treat. The Mexican Indian word "chocolat" comes from a combination of the terms choco ("foam") and atl ("water"); as early chocolate was only consumed in beverage form. Chocolate has been drunk as a beverage for thousands of years and took on it's finest form in the Italian "cioccolata densa", which has inspired our recipe. You'll find with Cioccolata Calda - Italian Style Drinking Chocolate, you will get the finest Italian-style drinking chocolate available. No cocoa powder, but lots of goodness. Thick, rich and delicious, it's a new taste experience.

Drinking chocolate is one of the hottest new ideas in the coffee, rental, catering and party business. You might have seen similar drinking chocolate at Starbucks or other coffee shops, but we feel our dispensers and Italian Style Drinking Chocolate have a higher quality and better consistency. Our Italian Style Drinking Chocolate is rich and robust. While you do not need special equipment to make it, it does present and mix well in our drinking chocolate dispensers. You can also use an espresso steamer.

Just mix with milk in a drinking chocolate dispenser and in approximately 15 minutes, your drinking chocolate will be ready to serve to your anxious customers. Individual servings just take seconds with an espresso steamer.

The Chocolate Shot will keep your drinking chocolate mixed perfectly throughout your event or throughout your business day. Even better, you can remove the tank and store it in the refrigerator and then re-use it the next day. The Chocolate Shot can also be used for chai tea and a variety of drinking or sauce mixtures. You can also add flavorings to the drinking chocolate.

Delicious, creamy and the next big item in the chocolate world, Cioccolata Calda Drinking Chocolate and the Chocolate Shot will make your drinking chocolate experience one to remember.
